I began snowboarding in my first year at university, aged 18, and instantly loved it. I started competitive snowboarding in 2012, first with the British Universities Snowsports Council (BUSC) Competitions, then onto national competitions in the Summer of 2013. I'm learning new tricks every time I go snowboarding and want to keep learning bigger and better things.

I was the Competitions Officer for Sheffield University Snowboard Club (SUSC) in 2012/13, and the Publicity Officer in 2013/24. Being involved in the competition side of snowboarding has been great, and I've recently grown to love competing and have really embraced the UK snowboard scene. I love being able to give back to the snowboarding and wakeboarding community through my committee positions.

I first tried wakeboarding in my first year at Sheffield, on one of the snowboard club's camping trips there. Ut was so much fun, I was instantly hooked! I first properly learnt to land the features in the Summer of 2012, and podiumed at the Uniwake Student nationals in 2013, eventually winning the women's category in 2014! I also do local competitions and next year will be competing in the Northern region of the Grassroots tour. I got chosen to be the Sponsorship Officer for Uniwake for the 2014/15 academic year, so I'll be helping to organise the events and get support from brands for prizes and student deals. 

I am also an Advanced/Elite level trampoliner and ex-gymnast, which helps my riding a lot. I find that I have a pretty good sense of spatial awareness in the air, so I'm not too scared of trying new things, and I know how to fall without seriously hurting myself.... This also means I'm really keen to transfer all my flips onto real snow!
